When Social Media Stings

The searing sting of the African hornet is probably not one of the most pleasant experiences you'll ever have the misfortune of having to endure. Their stings are more painful to humans than the sting of an ordinary wasp or honey bee because their venom contains large quantities of a neurotransmitter which, in short, is going to make sure you feel the burn!

Social media faux pas are pretty much the same. Something or someone will kick or stir up the proverbial hornets' nest in one way or another and BAM! The stingers come out and the public backlash is usually swift, sharp, embarrassingly painful (because it's public) and as quickly as the stinging starts, it usually subsides and all you're left with is the tell-tale redness and swelling, hopefully a little wiser about where or how NOT to poke the nest the next time....[read more]
